These days I am trying to live healthier. I recently started back to the gym, improved my diet, and I’m juicing again. While I was at the store picking up fresh fruits and vegetables to juice, I ran across some rhubarb and thought it would go great with some Granny Smith apples. After whipping up a batch of homemade apple rhubarb juice, chugging a glass, and watching the response of my son, I just had to share the recipe. Apple Rhubarb juice is a naturally sweet, tart, and refreshing beverage the whole family can enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 6 Granny Smith apples
- 4 stalks of rhubarb
Directions:
- Cut the granny smith apples to fit in your juicer.
- Insert the granny smith apples and rhubarb into your juicer.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy!
Six Granny Smith apples and four stalks of rhubarb make around two glasses of juice. If you want to make more juice use three more apples and two rhubarb stalks per glass. A three apple two rhubarb ratio perfectly suits my palate. Tartness can be increased by adding additional rhubarb stalks.
This beverage is very healthy. There are no additives, the sugar is all natural, and you get all the nutrients that come from fresh fruit. The flavor of apple rhubarb juice is incredibly addictive. Once you’ve had a glass you’ll definitely want more!
