I made the switch from Microsoft Outlook several years back when my wife and I were working full-time, going to college, and raising our family. It helped us stay on top of assignments, exams, activities, doctor’s appointments, and kept us on the same page. If it wasn’t for Google Calendar, I would probably have a lot more gray hair. There’s no way I could have held it together without it and that’s why I still use it today.
My calendar helps me remember birthdays, important dates, and schedule activities around work. I even use it to plan workouts. I’ve been using it for so long it’s almost like an extension of my brain. The only time I ever forget anything is when I don’t check the calendar. That doesn’t happen much anymore these days because I make it a point to check it every day and add just about everything important. When I’m at home I don’t have to do it manually. I tell Alexa to add events to my calendar and let Amazon Echo do it for me. What a great time to be alive!
Use Google Calendar as a tool to organize and manage your life. The more hectic your schedule is the more important it is for you to write things down. You’ll be a lot less stressed if you don’t have to worry about remembering a million things. You can use the extra brain power to focus on getting things done. Once your organized and get into the routine of using your calendar, who knows? You might even be able to schedule some me time. Your calendar doesn’t have to be all work and no play. When you’re organized, and managing your time more effectively, you should be able to find time for recreational activities. It may not seem like it now but trust me, you will and you should. A balanced life is a happier life.
